Icy Text 2 Photoshop Titorial

Let's create another type of Icy text in Photoshop for your website design.

Create a new image of size 400x300 pixels and apply Filter > Render > Clouds Foregrond must be white and background must be black.

 

Use Text tool, write any text, then copy this layer and hide it. We will com back to it later.

 

Now do Rasterize for visible layer. Then Ctrl+E and apply Filter > Stylize > Wind, select From the right and press OK.  Then Image > Rotate Canvas > 90 Degrees CW and Ctrl+F. You have to repeat this step for all sides of our image. 

 

Select Image > Adjustments > Brightness Contrast

 

Now let's add more colours. Creat new layer and change it to Color. Foreground should be light blue and background - dark blue. Select Gradient tool and apply Radial Gradient.

 

Then you can experiment with your text e.g. adding Mosaic filter etc.

Harry Potter Text Type - Photoshop Tutorial

Creat a new image with 267х154 pixels size, background should be black, and write the phrase Harry Potter usin Harry Potter type which is available for downloading HERE -> potter.rar (11.22 kb)

 

 

Then select Blending Options -> Bevel and Emboss with parametres as shown below:

 

 

 

You can add some additional text and possible result can be the following:

Grass - Photoshop Tutorial

Creat a new image, size 281х168 pixels, background - white. Then create a new layer and apply Filter > Noise > Add Noise with Amount -140.31, Uniform and Monochromatic.

 

Then apply one more filter Filter > Blur > Motion Blur: Angle -77 and Distance 13

 

Inside the menue please select Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation Options are shown below:

 

   



Then apply Filter > Stylize > Wind with parameters: Method = Stagger and Direction = from the Rignt.

 

Now do Edit > Transform > Rotate 90 CW

  



Copy our layer and in properties select Color Burn with Fill = 38%

Diamond Text Photoshop Tutorial

Create new image with black background and then write DIAMONDS with white color.

 

Download diamond effect here -> diamonds.asl (2.16 kb) Then open Styles Palette and apply new effect to our text. Then do mouse's right clic and choose Blending Options, then Pattern and Gradient See images below to adjust parametres:

 

 

Add some twinkling to our text and it is ready!

Icy Text Photoshop Tutorial

Creat new document with black background. Foreground color set to white, and background - black. Now creat new layer Shift+Ctrl+Alt+N and write any text.

 

 

Press Shift and click over the text to select it. Then apply Filter > Noise > Add Noise and set 150% и Uniform parametres. Then press D to unselect layer.

 
 

 

Then do Filter > Pixelate > Crystalize with Cell Size 3. Then go to Filter > Stylize > Find Edges and press Ctrl+I.

 

 

In the menue select Edit > Transform > Rotate 90 CW and Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur with 0.8 and Radius. Again apply one more filter Filter > Stylize > Wind with parametres Wind and From the Right and do Edit > Fade Wind Select trancparency 80%.

 
 

 

Then do Edit > Transform > Rotate 90 CCW Creat new layer Shift+Ctrl+Alt+N Choose foreground color #1A9BFF and press Alt+Backspace Select new layer by pressing ALT. And now replace Blending Mode to Overlay 

 

 

Create another layer Shift+Ctrl+Alt+N. Select our text and fill it with #000761 color. Then press Ctrl+D, and apply white background. Then apply new filter Filter > Artistic > Neon Glow Then choose #002BD0 color: Glow Size  -8, and Glow Brightness  19.

 

 

Do Filter > Plastic Wrap: Highlight Strength 8, Detail 14, Smoothness 7 In layer palette change Blending Mode to Overlay and set trancparency to 18%

 

Now you can add some stars on the top of our text using Paint Brush tool :)

Create new image, size of 294х167 pixels, background color - black. And write the name Lights.

 





Then create a new layer and with Brush Tool: size = 3 и hardness = 85% and color #e73101 Now try to make a contour of our image. You suppose to get something as shown below:

 



Choose Blending Options and then Outer Glow with parametres as shown on the image below:

 



Now use Brush Tool: size = 2 and hardness = 0%, color #e7c05b. try to draw dots alogn the "Lights":

Smile Photoshop Tutorial

In this lesson we will draw a smile. First let'sl draw a circle using the Circular selection tool thus keeping key Shift that our circle has turned out equal. Create a new layer and  fill in our circle with a yellow-orange gradient using Radial gradient. Make sure that light yellow color is in the top left part of our future smile.

 

In this step we need to allocate all over again 4 pixels for this purpose choose in menu Select> Modify> Contract and establish value 4. Then use Gradient tool for filling in. Change colour of a forward background (foreground color) on white, then apply our gradient in which properties we put foreground to transparent and do pouring of our allocated fragment.


Create new layer and make an oval selection as shown below. Change background color to grey, the Gradient Type to Linear and fill your oval with.


Now we need to choose 3 pixels, as in a step № 2. Keeping key ALT  use tool Circular selection tool to subtract a part of the basis of our gradient. We choose type of gradient Foreground to transparent and it is filled in our allocated area.

 

 

Let's add a pupil to our eye for this purpose allocate a small circle and fill  with its black color.

 



Copy our layer with eye Layer > Duplicate layer and move it right.

 



Merge our new layer with an eye pressing of a combination of keys Ctrl+E. Now press CTRL and click on our merged layer to allocate both eyes at once. Create a new layer below this layer, and it is increased our allocation, having chosen Select> Modify> Expand with value 3. Change color of a forward background (foreground color) on yellow, and color of a back background (background color) on orange by gradient Linear gradient, thus orange color should be at top of our smile.

 



Keeping CTRL click on our initial layer of a circle to allocate all our smilie. Then do Select> Modify> Contract with value 10. Now use Circular selection tool and keeping key ALT clean unnecessary allocation that the smile has turned out as shown in our picture.

 



Fill in our allocation by black color and our smile is ready!

Image Reflection

For this tutorial we use butterfly image:

 


Copy our layer and place it under the main layer. Then in the menue choose Transform > Flip Vertical. Then press Shift and in the same time move our image down.

 

 

Choose Blending Options by clicking over our layer... Then choose Gradient Overlay as it shown below:

 







Apply Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur:

 

As a result we have to get the following image:

Abstraction

Step 1. Create new image and apply Filter/ Render/ Clouds Do not forget to set the background in black and front - white.

 

 

Step 2. Then do Filter/ Artistic/ Plastic Wrap: Filter/ Stylize/ Find Edges and CTRL + I.

 

 

Step 3.  To change the colour press CTRL + U and use checkbox on Colorize; Hue 79 ; Saturation 79 ; Lighting 0 You should get the image like shown below:

Reflection Photoshop Tutorial

Step 1. Creat a new image. Go to Custom Shape Tool choose i in the Shape field. In the figure functions use Fill Pixels.

 



Step 2. Choose the colour of a figure and draw it.

 

 

Step 3. Then do Layer - Duplicate Layer and rotate it to 180 degrees by Transform - Flip vertical

 

 

Step 4. To make a reflection use Quick Mask. And fill the image as shown on the image below:

 

 

Step 5. Then leave Quick Mask by clicking Q And press DEL.

 
 

 

Step 6. You can adjust your image like this one :)
